Welcome back to Day 6 of my Christmas Series! For today's project I am going to feature Hero Arts, specifically one of their fancy dies! These dies are so intricate and textured! So instead of a card I had to make a tag... I could make tags all day long during the month of December! What is also great with this die, it can be a card, a tag and even an ornament for your tree! I used Pool Party Cardstock by Stampin' Up and blended a navy dye ink over the one side of the ornament shape. For the overlay of the die cut I pulled out some shimmer paper by Recollections give a sparkle and shine to my tag. My sentiment is from the Sizzix Thinlit set by Tim Holt Alterations called Holiday Words #2. I just love the modern look of these as sentiments for my paper crafting! On the back I simply hand wrote the To: and From:... Yes I know I have tons of those stamps, but why not use our own handwriting for an item that is handmade... right?!? Here are just some of the products I used for making this tag... Hero Arts Fancy Dies – Snowflakes and Ornament Fancy Die Sizzix – Tim Holtz Alterations – Holiday Words #2 Thinlit Dies Recollections Shimmer 65# Card Stock Click the video below to see how easy this tag is to make and all the other craft details along the way! I am here with the Hero Arts Monthly Kit for September! Yes, always late to the game, but I will always make sure I post to give as much inspiration as I can! I will admit, this kit made me struggle. The images are beautiful, but I just could not get inspired by them... But what I did get inspired by were the dies themselves... So we had fun cutting up paper and seeing what we could do with and to it!... So let's check out the cards we created! Here is used the branch die to create a create in my favorite fall colors! I accented with my NuVo Drops in the same shades.... This one does look kinda funny... I was inspired by this sentiment... Of course I used bright Oxides and sprayed with my distress sprayer and just let it dry, not using a paper towel to lift the water. Stamped my images using my VersaFine Black Ink and Clear Embossing powder to heat set! Again the dies and the sentiment brought this card to life. Created a panel of color using the Daniel Smith sample pack provided in the kit and then used the leaf die to cut out my images... I also used black card stock and the leaf branch and vase die to create a silhouette on my card front. Add splatters with the same watercolor to the front of my panel for an added touch! What was wonderful with the dies provided was how they cut out the image. It was not just the solid images but rather it had cut outs as well! So if you did not stamp the images, you still tell what the image was by just using the die and solid card stock. Now there is one more card! To see all the details check out the video below! Always Remember... Be Inspired, Be Creative, ENJOY and SHARE what you create today! ~ Desiree Hello Everyone! Coffee Anyone? I am one of those who must have their coffee first thing in the morning! But I also do enjoy the taste and the smell as well... This month's Hero Arts Card kit is fantastic and full of many images of coffee along with their dies! These stamps are perfect for any medium you chose to complete your cards... I broke out my alcohol markers for my first card, but kept it simple... (yes I am still learning the alcohol world, LOL) The majority of my mugs I colored in warm grey tones with one bright and cheery! I enjoyed working with the puff embossing powder by Hero Arts! If you think you love watching the embossing powder change when it is heated, wait until you try this one! AWESOME! Stamps all my mugs to fill my background with white pigment ink and then embossed using white powder! To fill in the shipped cream I pulled out Emboss It Pen by Ranger... This kit even came with come coffee and tea dyed papers! Used a couple stitched square dies from my stash to create a layered panel on my card design base and then one single mug on top for the focal point! Want to see more cards and all the fun details? This is all I wanted to do while I was completing my cards from the Hero Arts June 2018 Card Kit! As always, there was so much packed in this kit! Full set of stamps with coordinating dies... and this stamp set was a layering stamp set! Ink cubes in shades of blue and grey that matched perfectly in many ways... A green sea foam mist ink spray which I found very interesting to work with... Once dry it showcases a beautiful sparkle! Finally the item I could not get enough of... the embossing powder! When embossed it actually looked like sand! It had beautiful flakes of copper throughout s well... Check out all the details on just how easy these are to create by click the video below!
