Hello Everyone! So many products to choose from within the Friendly Frolic release by Simon Says Stamp! From florals to dinosaurs and everything in between, this collection is sure to full-fill all of your crafty needs for any occasion! I had a terrific time creating with the Diamond Pattern 6x6 background cling stamp. It is amazing how many different ways you can use a background stamp. Below are some cards I created... My first card I used pigment ink to blend across the stamp design and stamped onto a piece of white card stock! Used a stitched curve die from my stash and a simple sentiment set called Messages for Everyday and my card was ready to go in no time! My second card, I wanted to try something different... I placed my background stamp in my stamp positioner and stamped using my distress oxides. I then shifted my card stock to the right and up by a half an inch. Stamp again with another color and then repeated the process two more times. It actually recreated the design each time! My sentiment from the Loving Heart stamp set was centered onto a heart die cut and off set in black. Now we know for my final card I had to do a blended background with my oxides and then use white embossing powder for the stamp design. It created such a bright and bold back drop to my sentiment! I know your wish list will grow quickly from all the crafty goodness in this collection! To see more inspiration for this collection make sure you search for #SSSFriendlyFrolic and SAVE THE DATE for Simon Says Stamp Facebook Live viewing of their release on Friday, July 27th @ 12:30 pm EDT! Be Inspired, Be Creative, ENJOY and SHARE what you create today! ~ Desiree Hello Everyone! Let's create with some embossing folders! What is special about these folders is their are dies embedded into them! Yes you can cut AND emboss in one pass... How easier can it get! For my first card I used the Blooming Sprigs Folder. I just had to pull out my distress oxides for my background, placed my bristol paper into my folder and ran it through my machine! Grabbed a scrap piece of card stock to fill in the areas die cut Next up, Flower Garden. For some reason when I saw this design I knew I had to grab my vellum and try this out! First time I ever used vellum in an embossing folder... I love it when we take those chances, sometimes they are the most beautiful! Finally, Botanical Frame... Photos or Videos do no justice to this design... I had to grab my Distress Oxides for a blended background creating a soft glow around the edge of the card panel. I accented the top with a bow and some Nuvo Gloss Drops for the flower centers. To celebrate this release, Spellbinders is giving away a $50 gift certificate to a lucky winner. Be Inspired, Be Creative, ENJOY and SHARE what you create today! ~ Desiree Hello Everyone! Let's create some masculine cards! These are sometimes the most difficult to make. For me I feel it is something we over think too much... Masculine cards for me are simply simple shapes and basic colors... and that's it, no bells and whistles! Now please, it does not mean you cannot add glitter or sparkle! Everyone is different... For this video I created three masculine cards and they can be adapted in color or layout you see. Take the techniques I used to create your design or enjoy using mine! YAY! What I have found from creating these cards, I think embossing folders are a lost tool! Yup I am one of them with many of these sitting in a box... Well the dust is cleared now! LOL... ENJOY the video below and I hope you give all of them a try! Since about the time I spoke my first word, I’ve been an avid crafter alongside my mom and sister. You name the craft and I’ve probably bought it, collected it, tried it and finally stored it. Right now, getting Inky, suffering paper cuts, cutting with metal dies and stamping everything, whether it moves or not makes me smile and I must pass that along to everyone I know and don’t know!
