Hello Everyone! HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Today we are going to make two cards but use only 1 Die! When you use a shape style die you get a negative and a positive image. Basically from one piece of card stock you get the image cut out and then you are left with the die cut of the image! Already you are set for two cards! I chose the first card to be a shaker card using the chunky glitter from Arteza along with sequins from Nuvo. For the other I used the die cut with a little distress oxide in the background. In less than 20 minutes I had two cards that took no time at all to create! For more crafty details as well as a full list of supplies used for this project, click on the video below! Hello Everyone! Here today making another card in our Simplicity Series! There is so much available to the paper crafter, but do we really need all the tools? I am here to say no... Paper, scissors, adhesive and your imagination is really all you need! Grab your favorite paper pad you have been hording and page through to find those images or even fussy cut an image and that would be perfect to create your frame arrangement! You can either use an image or even a section of one of the pattern papers to create this card. When cutting out my focal points I like to mat them again a solid piece of card stock and the best part you those value packs are perfect for this! Lets get together and Hop along for all the inspiration for this month's kit! Here is what Teresa has to say... I was an elementary school teacher for many years. During Christmas time for Social Studies we studied Christmas traditions around the world. This was my absolute favorite time of the year with my students. So, for our Christmas Around the World card kit I have chosen my most favorite countries we studied to feature. Mexico: Great food and wonderful traditions centered around Papa Noel. Sweden: St. Lucia was my favorite tradition in Sweden we studied. Australia: My students got the biggest kick out of the fact that it was hot and summer there during Christmas. Germany: Of course what would a study be without studying the origin of the Christmas tree. Please sit back and enjoy the elements we put together for our Christmas Around the World Flavor of the Month Card Kit. Make sure you leave our designers some love on their blog! Thanks again for hopping with us, and Happy Crafting! But Always Remember... Be Inspired, ENJOY and Always Be Creative!!! ~ Desiree Hello Everyone! Here today with Birch Press Design and their Epiphany Layering Die set creating a Halloween card by changing the card stock color! Using Orange, Lime Green, purple mirror and satin black card stock this give the look of an eerie Halloween card, and since this die set reminded me of a spider's web, we had to add a small spider as an embellishment! Be Inspired, ENJOY, LAUGH and ALWAYS BE CREATIVE! ~ Desiree Hello Everyone! Here today with Rubber Stamp Tapestry making a shaker card featuring their SPookytown Peg Stamp Set! To start I cut a piece of black card stock to 4.25 in x 5.5 inches and then used my Honey Bee Rectangle Trio Dies to cut out my windows. Attached my acetate and applied by double sided foam trips to the back and then filled my windows with Arteza's chunky glitter - and yes I forgot to use my anti-static tool! - you'll see what I mean... LOL I created three panels using the peg stamps to create my own pattern paper for the background of my windows, added some distress oxide for color and put my card together! Since about the time I spoke my first word, I’ve been an avid crafter alongside my mom and sister. You name the craft and I’ve probably bought it, collected it, tried it and finally stored it. Right now, getting Inky, suffering paper cuts, cutting with metal dies and stamping everything, whether it moves or not makes me smile and I must pass that along to everyone I know and don’t know!
