Hello Everyone! We have finished our turkey and have now gotten through Thanksgiving! Now it is time to start our Christmas shopping, planning, including our card making! So what a better time to start my 2018 Christmas Series, right?!? LOL Well let's get started then,,, first up we need to focus on the basics... There are so many techniques and gadgets out there, sometimes it is just overwhelming... The only items you need to create beautiful cards are pattern paper, scissors, a pen, a ruler and the mist important item... your imagination! By just using a paper pad from your local craft store you can create many cards in one shot... Most paper pads have a couple of sentiment pages which is perfect if you did not want to invest in stamps! Even if they do not have those pages you can certainly write you sentiment yourself! Just grab a pen and go to town! If you think you do not have nice handwriting, just go slowly when you write and you will be surprise! Have your curiosity! Just click on the video below to see all the crafty details! When you are done watching the video, and want to see more, CLICK HERE to go to my YouTube Channel ...
DON'T FORGET TO LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE TO MY CHANNEL! Always Remember... Be Inspired, Be Creative, ENJOY and SHARE what you create today! ~ Desiree Hello Everyone! Today we are back with another 5 Card - 1 Kit Series using the Simon Says Stamp November 2018 Card Kit! Fall is definitely he theme here! Now here in my area we are in Winter! I really not sure we had Fall, hummmmmm.... In the kit there was a huge stamp set, sequins, cardstock and stickers by Tim Holtz! You can sure go in many directions with this one! The stamp set is perfect to use techniques from the simplistic to the intricate type. All of the images are solid, and sometimes we can think this is a bad thing. But really so much can be created! For my first card here... I used my distress oxides to stamp the maple leaf image along with some leaves and finally the sentiment! Used the sequins along with my Nuvo gold Coast drops for some added bling! Simple but yet it shows it all. Used a branch sentiment and stamped it twice. Filled it in with Ruby Slippers Nuvo Drops and a button. Stamped my image above the focal point. For this one I was not sure I was going to be able to save it! LOL Created the background using the ink smooshing technique, it is one of my favorites... Once my panel was dry I uses my versamark ink and gold embossing powder to heat set my sentiment... Here is where is might have gone down hill, LOL... I could not see the sentiment! So I quickly grabbed my versafine black ink and then my clear embossing powder and that added just enough of a shadow so we can now see the sentiment! Always Remember... Be Inspired, Be Creative, ENJOY and SHARE what you create today! ~ Desiree Hello Everyone! Today I am up on the Birch Press Design Blog featuring the Splash Layering Die Set! This die is just perfect for all occasions and I thought it was perfect for a thank you card. To match the movement this die creates I just knew I had to have soft shades of shimmer papers from my stash. I used shades of pool, silver and beige for my design and the inside of my standard A2 size card. I cut a 2 inch section from the front of my card base so my focal image would extend off the front of my card and adhered a piece of velum and pool card stock to the inside. I used a simple sentiment from the Best Friend stamp set and heat embossed it in fine detail white powder. Framed it using my beige shimmer card stock and added to the top of my card. Always Remember... Be Inspired, Be Creative, ENJOY and SHARE what you create today! ~ Desiree Hello Everyone! Today I am part of a Spellbinders Blog Hop featuring their Glimmer Hot Foil System! You may have seen an earlier video from me showing just how easy this system is to use... Well today I get to create beautiful cards... I am just amazed at how simple it is to create a beautiful and elegant card in no time! When you get your Glimmer you are ready to start foiling! It comes with everything you need to start playing and being crafty! Now if you want to get more foil colors, never fear they have them in many wonderful colors! Want a different die or are you like me and have to have them all! LOL They have wonderful additions to grow to your glimmer... For my first project I used the Joy Die set and the silver foil which comes included in your Glimmer box! Added layers of Blue and Silver Mirror card stock and placed all on my standard A2 size card base. That's it! For my second I used the HO-HO-HO Die/Frame Set! Now this comes with an outline die so your image can be cut out! These are great because you do not have to center your foiled imaged onto your card base! I also used the Black foil from their glimmer foil collection and I am in love with it! Sometimes I go towards the non-traditional cards, LOL... Once I used the frame die and cut out my image and set it on my design panel! But never fear there are videos you can watch so you do not miss any crafty details!
