Spellbinders New Collections Inspiration BLOG HOP! featuring Inked Messages by Stephanie Low8/15/2018 Hello Everyone! Welcome to Spellbinder's Special Moments by Marisa Job and Inked Messages by Stephanie Low Stamp and Die Sets Bog Hop! Today I will be showing some wonderful products form the Inked Messages product line. Both are beautiful and I am very glad Spellbinders made the decision for me!, LOL... My first card I used the Bloom Where You are Planted Set and pulled out my distress inks! For my background I stamped with both floral images using Simon Says Stamp Barley Beige Ink. I love this ink pad when I watercolor. I can't explain why, I just love the effects it provides when Watercolor is applied over it! I used picked raspberry, spiced marmalade and wild honey and created a flat wash for my background. I then used tumbled glass, broken china and evergreen bough for my florals and I used my gold embossing powder to give a barriers for my coloring. Once all dry everything was placed on top of my standard A2 size top folding card base. For my next card i used the Rough Waters Stamp and Die set! These images are beautiful and so detailed! I could not resist puling out my alcohol markers for these images. I first stamped them with my memento black ink and then colored my images using corals and greens for the flowers and grays and browns for my anchor and rope... One they were colored I then placed my panels back into my stamp positioner and used my versamark ink so I cold heat emboss with gold. What a difference how my images looked! I pulled my Deckled Edge Frame die from Spellbinders to cut a background panel I created using distress oxide inks (tumbled glass, broken china and faded jeans). I placed my images on top of my standard A2 size top folding card base. For my final card I used A Rose by any other Name Stamp and Die Set. I really kept it simple and once I saw this rose I pulled out my colored pencils. I used my Gina K Amalgam Black Ink and really enjoyed coloring in my rose! My medium of choice are colored pencils! You name the set and I bet I have it, LOL. After my image was colored I used the die to cut it out... I used one my colored pencils to create my own splatters on my card base, it works great in a pinch! Added my sentiment and rose on top of my standard A2 size card base. I saw the anchor set, and really wondered if I should get it. Now I will look more closely and definitely give it more favor when I am deciding how to spend my craft dollars! I am also loving the deckle edge dies that you used for the panel on the achor card. Thanks so much for all the tips.I didn't know about the blue toned paper! (Going to have to look for that!) And it comes in heavy weight!!!! I have to go shopping. NOW!!!!

That "Calm Seas" sentiment is my favorite from this release and I just love the tattoo theme for these stamps. I have to say, though, I just LOVE the florals from the first card....I would never have thought to use those colors for flowers but it works beautifully and your background is amazing too. TFS!
