Hello Everyone! We are back with another design team project for Scrapping for Less! Today, let’s have fall be magical and elegant at the same time! Fall pulls in some great depth and richness in our color choices! The stamp set for my design team project is by Brutus Monroe and it’s called Conservatory of Quotes! The floral bouquet is perfect for any coloring medium you want to dig into and play around with! For today, I had to choose my distress inks, they have been very neglected lately and I wanted to create a water color background affect. I remember seeing a video by Kristina Werner and I just fell in love with the colors she chose… I was very much inspired by her and the panel she made! Once I chose my colors, I pulled out a piece of Canson XL watercolor paper and traced a rectangle using one of my dies from my stash. I used my blue tape to secure my water color panel down since there was going to be a lot of water going on here… Picked up my colors that I laid down onto my craft earlier and went to town just dropping them all in. I did this twice making sure it was dry in between each time I added more color. After this was completely dry I stamped my focal image and sentiment using my versafine black ink and heat set it with my clear embossing powder. Trimmed my panel down to 4 1/4 in x 5 1/2 in and adhered it to my card Standard A2 size top folding card base. Added some Nuvo Drops in black to give just some added shine! So now we can let fall begin with elegance! Check out all the fun details in the video below! Getting Inky, suffering paper cuts, cutting using metal dies and stamping everything... These are just some of the fun and mischievous ways together we will create paper art! So stay and be motivated and inspired! ...and let me know what inspires your creativity!
Since about the time I spoke my first word, I’ve been an avid crafter alongside my mom and sister. You name the craft and I’ve probably made it and collected it. I simply find so much joy in working with my hands and seeing a happy customer with one of my creations. There’s nothing better! But I also love helping people become stronger and seeing them find THEIR happy through THEIR creations.
